The inspiration for Honour Candle Co. came after the loss of my Nonna Santina in 2020. My Nonna battled long and hard with a terrible disease, Alzheimer's. It truly is a cruel thing that robs someone of their mind, in spite of her struggles she never failed to make me feel so deeply and immensely loved.

Although we didn't speak the same language, she never needed words to show how much she loved someone, through cooking up four course meals for 20 people or hemming my school dress every year or even yelling at me to wear shoes in the house so I wouldn't catch a cold, she showed me how love truly should be. Santina was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and matriarch for our Italian family and Honour Candle Co. is my way of spreading her love and affection and honouring her memory.
